Lower Units
As the month of January just passed,
we look back at the highlights of the month. With all the snow and chilly
temperatures this month, sales were slower than expected. We did ship out
a number of Mercury lower units and
Evinrude lower units in January. People are
taking advantage of the slow season and buying their boat parts now. The
January boat shows in the Kansas City area draw some excitement and get
customers thinking about boating. Most of the booths at the show are
showing the newest, expensive boats around. What Kansas City based US
Boatworks offers is an economical way to get into boating. If you already
own a boat that may need repairs, our service department is one of the most
respected in town. Our shop hourly rate is lower than most and our parts
are reasonably priced.
Now is a great time to get
used Mercury or
Evinrude motors too as the few we have in
stock wont last long. If you are in the market for a new outboard
motor, our 2010 Mercury outboards and

Boat Launching Procedures
So here it is.
I
just bought a new boat and decided to take 'er
for the maiden voyage this past weekend.
This is my first boat and I wasn't quite
sure of the exact Standard Operating Procedures
for launching it off a ramp, but I figured it
couldn't be too hard.
I consulted my
local boat dealer for advice, but they just said
"don't let the trailer get too deep when you are
trying to launch the boat".
What am I doing
wrong?
Well, I don't know what they meant by
that as I could barely get the trailer in the
water at all!
Anyhow,
here's a picture below. See for yourself. What
am I doing wrong?

2010 EVINRUDE OUTBOARD MOTORS
We finally received our long awaited 25 horse Evinrude Motors. When we
combine them with our 2009 stock, we have 6 Evinrude outboards in stock and 3
Mercury outboards in stock. US Boatworks also has about 6 used outboards
on the floor right now as well. These used motors go fast so if you are
thinking about purchasing a used motor, call us now.
